Mid-Season Final Game
1The Knights finished up the first half of the season at home last night vs the Delta Jets. A solid showing had them easily cruise past the Jets with a 5-2 victory. Krista Prins scored two break-away goals, with Tania Kenny, Silvia Traversa and Jess Bennett all netting one. Goaltender, Sandra Grant, stopped 23 shots in the contest.
Off to a strong start, the Knights picked up a two goal lead in the first and allowed no goals scored against them. In the second the Knights added another 2 goals, but gave up one goal to the Jets.
Despite playing much of the third playing shorthanded, the Knights continued to dominate their appointment’s scoring a short handed goal at 11:30 of the third period.
The Knights will open the second half of the season against the BC Thunder, who come off a 2-0 loss against the Richmond Devils this weekend.

The Fusion picked-up their lone goal of the night on a power play at 5:53 of the second period. It was scored by Emily Jude and assisted by Rachel Budden.

SFU Clan: Women's Hockey Team
The Knights finished off a strong weekend with a decisive 6-0 victory over the SFU clan. A much improved performance from the last time the two teams met up. Krista Prins earned a hat trick and Fraser Valley Phantoms AP Madison Sands scored two goals. Goaltender Sandra Grant stopped a total of 15 shots, earning the second shutout for the Knights of the season. Silvia Traversa also contributed to the scoreboard with 2 assists.
The win comes after two hard loses last weekend vs the Vancouver Fusion (5-0) and the Delta Jets (4-2). The Knights hope to redeem the Fusion loss next weekend when they play the team at 2:00pm at Great Pacific Forum.
